We booked our cruise on the internet about 3 months before our trip and got a fantastic two for one deal for the week before Christmas (2000).
We had a large state room with a queen size bed and a separate sitting area, that included and sette that could be made into a queen bed. We couldn't have been more pleased with the space. The seas where fairly calm and we noticed very little rocking, we fell asleep as soon as we got into bed and slept until our alarm went off.
The service was great in all areas of the ship. All of our needs where meet whether from the cabin attendant to the head waiter. The food was great, we really enjoyed dinner at our table. We were seated with six other people which we had a great time with, our dinner times were full of laughter and we were always the last table to leave! We selected the late dinner time, which gives you plenty of time to shower and dress for the show and dinner after your fun filled day on the islands.
They offered a great selection of activities, but we chose to rent a car through them (great rate) and set out on our own...they had maps and offered much information for those who choose to do so. I would highly recommend snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking on any of the islands. On Oahu the Polynesian Cultural Center is a must, the late night show is awesome! We also golfed on Maui and Kauai, I must say the courses are beyond belief! The views are so beautiful and very relaxing. They also had the day full of activities for those who decided to stay on board. I can't imagine anyone being bored or having nothing to do for very long. My husband even enjoyed participating in karaoke. There were many kids onboard and they all seemed to be having a great time. We are planning on bringing our 4 children ages 16, 12, 10 & 6 on this cruise sometime this coming year. We believe that this is something that will make great family memories. Plus the fact of not having TV for a week was great too! We also enjoyed the variety of shows they offered. The musical shows were very good.
I really can't say enough about this cruise, it was just fabulous!
This is the perfect cruise for families not interested in the club or casino scene. It was also great for us to get away and spend some quality time together, we did indulge ourselves a bit!
It is suited for couples, families, friends and seniors.
We are very much looking forward to taking this cruise again. There is so much to write about this cruise and Hawaii but you will never truly capture the feeling unless you go yourself. My best opinion would be to say...GO! Aloha

Oh, I can't believe that I forgot to mention the view we had of Kilauea from he ship as we passed it that night! It was so amazing to see lava flowing down the tubes into the ocean. It truly was a masterpiece of nature and an unforgettable memory!
